How about this parents, less worry less about what caused it for our children and more about how to help them. Nothing changes the situation we are in no matter who or what is to blame. Sure, you can sit there and say well, I don't want it to happen to anyone else, but ultimately, you are, we all are first worried about our own. So lets all get together and hel our children the best we can with what we have! Then we all can say... "WE BEAT YOU!" That.... is better than anything else for all of us. Not the money from the companies we sue... but by the learning we give our children. THAT.. is first with me.

I picked up on the line about Hurricane Katrina...people needing to blame someone for a natural disaster...let's not forget that what was appalling about this situation was the lack of a timely response. It was obvious that people needed immediate help and our fearless leader at the time, did not react appropriately. Yet when there were actually NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION, he ball-faced lied to the American public so we would concede going into war - meanwhile billions of dollars have been spent to support this war and who does this money go to? Follow the Money!!! Things have gotten so out of hand where money is concerned that those who have most of it want even more and seem to be willing to do ANYTHING to get it - at the expense of how many lives and limbs??? When are we going to wake up to the fact that we're being mislead constantly....shown something in the right hand while the left hand is doing something dastardly???? We all get what we deserve for being the sitting ducks we all are....sheep to the slaughter. God Help Us All in the wake of all this corruption!

There is no medical evidence that autism is caused by the MMR or any other vaccine. Some tragedies and adverse events have no explanation, despite the prevailing culture's obsession to hold someone responsible for every misadventure. Sadly, these legal efforts assume a life of their own and do not lead to a satisfying conclusion for all involved. www.MDWhistleblower.blogspot.com

To research vaccines that have been recalled, you may go to: http://www.cdc.gov/search.do?queryText=vaccine+recalls&action=search

There are over 420 recall articles on the CDC Website. Many have die before anything is ever recalled. Please do research and learn all that you can, before injecting anything into your body. Find out all the ingredients and do research on the side effects. The FDA Website has changed the past 6 months, and it does not have the information that use to be on their webiste. I find this very disturbing. The CDC has more information than the FDA Website. Please protect yourself and find out everything about every vaccine you are considering.

As an RN with a good deal of experience on this subject, I can tell you what I think vaccines.

But, I was listening and that actually was not your question. And you have hit the nail on the head.

According to research published on bmj.coma last week,
just over half of healthcare workers surveyed say they would not be vaccinated against swine flu because of fears of side effects and doubts about efficacy.

The response from most "experts" concludes that Doctors and Nurses just need more education to change their minds.

However, others noted that this really has not worked in the past.

" In an accompanying editorial, Rachel Jordan from the University of Birmingham and Andrew Hayward from the UCL Centre for Infectious Disease Epidemiology, highlight that vaccination for healthcare workers is important for their own protection, the protection of their patients and could help to keep the NHS functioning at full capacity during the swine flu pandemic.

They argue that education and promotional campaigns alone have not been enough to encourage healthcare workers to get vaccinated, "but the additional use of convenient mobile systems, monitoring and feedback systems, and the use of "opt-out" systems (where healthcare workers need to indicate their reasons for not accepting the vaccine) show promise."

Some even encourage that healthcare workers who are not vaccinated wear some sort of Marker" ( badge of shame? ) to let people know they have not been vaccinated.

I have to tell you this is standard stuff from these people.

Are they listening to what healthcare workers are saying?

Maybe , but they do not care as they are practicing coercion, not education.

If this is what they do to healthcare workers, who have the knowledge and education, imagine how they treat "lay people"?

As a patient advocate, we teach people to look at any medical intervention the same way.

Do the benefits outweight the risks for each person?

How can people know this if they are not really given the real benefits verses risks?

Those Healthcare workers are very clear that from all the research so far, the benefit does not outweight the risk, and they as much as said this.

So the answer is to keep telling them it does , or to say they are lacking education, or worse to take actions and tactics to get them to do it?

What would Dr Wakefield do? Hmmm?

This is why people have become so untrusting of medicine and rightly so.

Which study is more informative? A study by a British GI researcher who examines 12 patients and reports his findings OR a study by a Danish vaccine wholesaler who examines only a medical registry database of hundreds of thousands of children but never examines the actual children?

When did the number of research subjects determine the quality of a study? When did medical databases become more valued research than examining patient?

When did the medical establishment recognize that smoking caused lung cancer? About 40 to 50 years after the first research showed there was a link. The link between smoking and lung cancer was obfuscated by years of industry funded research showing no link.

When did a study that could not find a link equal proving no link exists?

Why is it ok for vaccine companies to investigate vaccine safety, but it not ok for airlines to investigate air travel safety? Why is it ok for public health officials to promote vaccines, regulate vaccines, and investigate the safety of vaccines and at the time work for vaccine manufactures as consultants?

By the way, the $750K paid to Dr. Wakefield was for 4 years of work. The $29 million paid to Dr. Offit for his patent rights was for decades of work developing his Rototeq vaccine. Brian Deer’s boss sits on the board of directors of Merck the maker of the MMR vaccine. All good work, if you can get it.

Why do we assume one side of the debate must be right? Why can’t they all be wrong? If the MMR is shown not to cause autism, does that mean the 13 other childhood vaccines don’t?

Why do we assume one side of the debate must be wrong? Why can’t they all be right? It might be shown one day that the MMR causes autism when injected to infants with a compromised immune system who are on antibiotics along with other vaccines on the same day, but the study of a medical registry finds no link between the MMR and autism.

FTM.
Brian Deer made the original complaint against wakefield to the GMC and he has continued write about it even though he is the complainant. how can this be acceptable.

if you really do want to listen , listen to the parents of the lancet children and Brian Deer in the 1 hour documentary about Brian Deer, perhaps you should review it after you have watched it, it makes uncomfortable viewing.
